Placing an Order

When you place an order through the website, this is subject to these Terms of Use and our Sale Terms. Orders placed through the website represent an offer to purchase a product. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.  This includes orders where we suspect fraudulent activity, or any orders where the incorrect delivery charges have been made. Should there be an error with any delivery charge, we will contact you to notify you of this error.  Any orders where incorrect delivery charges have been made may be cancelled by us and your payment will be refunded. All orders are subject to stock availability. If we are unable to supply the full quantity of products that you have ordered (as we are a trade counter also so stock is live at all times) we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that we cannot contact you, we will send what products we have in stock, with the balance to follow ASAP.

Delivery

We pride ourselves on our fast and efficient dispatch of orders, which is one of many factors that have enabled us to build and maintain a loyal, happy customer base.

We are unable to process orders or deliver on UK Bank & Major Holidays and Weekends. Delivery times are between the hours of 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. This is based on driver schedules and the most efficient routes and we are unable to give a specified delivery slot within these times unless paid for and delivery is upgraded.

If no one is available to take the delivery, the courier will leave details at the address to rearrange delivery or may leave with a neighbour as a signature is always required unless given instructions on where to safely leave your goods. We may need to make an additional handling charge for the return and re-delivery. Should no one be available to take the re-delivery, we may cancel the order and refund your money, excluding any additional charge for the return and re-delivery.

Please note that we may not always be able to deliver to your given address for our advertised delivery costs. If you have an address in the Scottish Highlands, Ireland or an off-shore island please call to check delivery options as otherwise we will have to refund your order.

Also please note that due to the current situation with Brexit & the Corona Virus, our deliveries are limited to UK Mainland for the foreseeable future until more permanent rules and regulations are put into place by the government and courier companies.

Materials delivered from our own stock.

Normally 1-2 days is our general delivery time (can sometimes be longer if your order exceeds our stock quantity and we then have to wait for manufacturers’ stock to arrive into ours).

Some of our products have a note that states – if ordered before 1pm and being delivered to UK mainland, these can be guaranteed next day delivery.

These goods are almost always stock items but be aware that if you are taking very large quantities of stock that we may not be able to fill your order fully on first delivery as all advertised stock is live across multiple branches. Please call the office to check to not be disappointed.

Materials delivered direct from the manufacturer.

There may be some occasions when it is more efficient or cost effective to have the materials shipped direct from our suppliers. We will place the order immediately upon receipt of your order. This can sometimes take up to 5 working days depending on which manufacturer it is. We will always endeavour to get the goods to the customer at the earliest possible date but please call the office in any situation to get the most accurate idea of delivery dates.

International and Offshore orders

We are currently unable to supply products to anywhere outside of the UK due to the sensitive nature of some of our products (hazardous or containing acid etc). If this is something you require then we can gladly have these shipped to somewhere within the UK for you to arrange overseas delivery. Data sheets & safety information can be provided upon request. Please email the office your full enquiry to find out more.

General:

All delivery times and dates are estimates. We will try our best to meet the delivery estimates we have given you but shall not be responsible for any failure to deliver ordered products within these stated time frames. Where next day delivery is advertised, this is the service we pay for and book the goods on through our external carriers. Unfortunately this being through another company means that there may be situations or circumstances outside of our control that can delay deliveries. We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters, construction jobs or tradesmen until your order has been delivered and checked by you. Please order your materials in advance of any such jobs as we cannot be held responsible for any third-party charges incurred due to non-delivery of an order, or orders that have not been checked on delivery. We will always endeavour to make one single delivery to you wherever possible to minimise any inconvenience. This means that when your order contains a mix of products with different delivery lead times, the longest lead time will apply to the whole order.

Cancellations

Orders placed for made-to-order (eg special colours) products may not be cancelled. If you cancel your order before this is dispatched from our warehouse, a full refund can be issued. If the items have already been dispatched however, only a part refund can be offered to compensate for the carrier fees and restocking costs as we may have ordered these goods in to fulfil your order.

Defective/Damaged Products

In the unlikely event that a product is faulty or is delivered damaged we will exchange the product or provide you with a full refund provided you advise us of the fault within 7 days of the date the product is delivered to you. We can either collect the product or dispatch a replacement. To arrange for the product to be collected, please contact us, with your order number, the details of product to be returned and whether you would like a refund or replacement. Once the returned product has been received and inspected, we will either dispatch the replacement or process the refund. All refunds will be made to the card/account used to purchase the product.

Order Discrepancies

Any order discrepancies must be reported to us within 48 hours.

Returns

You may return most goods supplied by us in their original condition within 14 days of the date you received them and obtain a refund. Please contact us first within this period should you wish to return the goods. Provided the goods are unopened and in resalable as new condition, with their original box, packing and accessories as appropriate.

Unless you are a “consumer” (EU CONSUMER RIGHTS DIRECTIVE – Effective from June 13th 2014), the delivery charges are not refundable and we shall be entitled to deduct a 20% restocking charge from the amount to be refunded to you. Please note that made to measure / special order products cannot be returned unless faulty. Refunds are not available on “free with purchase” items, unless all other products are returned.

Please Note: If you open any of the goods and original packaging then we will not be able to offer the goods for resale as new so will not be able to offer you a refund.

We are also unfortunately unable to accept returns on products coloured specifically by manufacturer as these are made to order and not held in stock.

We are also not responsible for the transport or return of goods for refund. This responsibility falls to the customer.

Pricing

All prices are listed both exclusive and inclusive of VAT, where appropriate. Our site contains a large number of products, and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products listed may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a product’s correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the product to you. If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will at our discretion either contact you for instructions before dispatching the product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you an order confirmation e-mail.

Security

You are solely responsible for any orders submitted to our website. Further information on on-line security can be found at http://www.getsafeonline.org/.
